STC TV Partners with Footballco to Expand Football Content for Sports Fans
stc tv, stc group’s digital entertainment streaming service, has partnered with football media and culture company Footballco to create new TV, film, and social media content built around stc tv’s existing broadcasting rights.
stc tv holds broadcasting rights across a robust portfolio of football properties, including Italy’s Serie A, and the Jawwy Elite League - Saudi Arabia’s new Under-21 Saudi men’s League.
Footballco publishes the region’s leading football media brands, including the Arabic edition of GOAL and Kooora, reaching a combined audience of 175 million fans across the region. Together, stc tv and Footballco will expand the variety of content available to sports fans and audiences.
The partnership’s first projects are already underway. Footballco has produced ‘Elite Stars’, a five-episode docu-series to be distributed on stc tv under Footballco’s brands. The series takes viewers into the personal lives of rising stars in Saudi football, capturing young players on the verge of stardom.
The series complements stc tv’s broadcasting rights for the U-21 Jawwy Elite League, bringing the same generation of sports talent to fans across both live and documentary formats. Footballco will also produce a documentary celebrating the passion of Serie A fan clubs across Saudi Arabia, which will be available on Kooora and GOAL. The program will run through June 2027, coinciding with the culmination of the 26/27 Serie A season and the 2nd season of the Jawwy Elite League.
Alongside these productions, Footballco will launch an always-on social media video series, designed to bring fans closer to the players they love, with regular updates on key moments and movements across competitions covered by stc tv.
