PFA Partners with Footballco for the 2025 PFA Awards

For the third year running, Footballco has been named the Official Media Partner for this year’s Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Awards, which are taking place at Manchester Opera House on Tuesday, August 19th.

On the night, the PFA will announce the PFA Players’ Player of the Year winners, the PFA Young Player of the Year categories and each divisional Team of the Year will be named. In addition to the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year, footballing achievement will be honoured through the PFA’s Merit Award.

Footballco will be present both on the green carpet and backstage, capturing content for use across GOAL, the biggest dedicated football publication in the world. Content from the event will also be featured in a forthcoming edition of GOAL Editions, GOAL’s new lifestyle-focused digital-first imprint, which brings fans closer to the human side of footballers through their passions.

Fabiola Wilcox, VP of Marketing and Communications for Footballco, said: “The PFA Awards are an integral part of the footballing calendar and unique in how they recognise the outstanding performers from every division and are voted for by the players.

“We’re looking forward to working with the PFA for another year and see their continued partnerships as evidence of our ability to bring huge audiences to events and moments like the PFA Awards.

“But, above all, we’re glad that being an Official Media Partner means we’re once again able to bring our tens of millions of fans closer to the players they love, as well as tell new stories through brands like GOAL Editions.”

Patrick Coyle, PFA Chief Operating Officer, said: “Many of the game’s greatest ever players have been honoured by their peers at the PFA Awards. The annual ceremony is a highlight in our football calendar, and a tradition deeply valued by both players and fans.

“We’re proud to be working with Footballco to share the stories from our evening in Manchester with football fans around the world."
