As the Commercial Content Lead at Footballco, you will be at the forefront of creating and managing engaging branded content for publishing on our MENA platforms - GOAL, KOOORA, FC Player and INDIVISA.

You will play a critical role in shaping and executing content strategies that captivate our audience and meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise in video content ideation and digital publishing, especially across social media platforms, will be pivotal in driving the commercial success of our projects.

You will be part of the Strategy team and collaborate closely with Sales, Creative and Editorial teams to deliver high-quality proposals and content that meets briefs and raises the bar for commercial content in football - within Saudi, UAE, Qatar and the rest of the region.


Content Ideation and Creation:

  • Develop innovative and engaging branded content concepts, with a strong emphasis on social video ideation given the appetite for it in commercial proposals

  • Ensure all pitched content and media is tailored to the preferences of the brand without losing sight of what fans engage with in whichever MENA markets are relevant to briefs

Digital Publishing and Social Media Success:

  • Oversee the distribution of content across digital platforms (social, web and app), tailoring publishing to ensure maximum reach and engagement

  • Leverage KOORA, GOAL and INDIVISA channels and successful internal content formats to enhance content visibility and drive audience interaction

Client Collaboration and Presentation:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, interrogating briefs to create compelling proposals that support Footballco’s business objectives

  • Confident at pitching (presentations, verbal, email) work, effectively communicating content/media ideas and strategies to clients

Project Management Support:

  • Coordinate with Footballco’s internal teams (Creative and Editorial, project-dependent) to ensure timely and successful content delivery

  • Monitor project progress and performance, making output adjustments as necessary to meet KPIs, in collaboration with our Client Services team

Performance Analysis and Trend Identification:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and audience preferences to continuously refine content strategies, including staying up-to-date on the football ecosystem

  • Analyse content performance metrics to inform future content development and improve engagement rates


  • Fluent in both Arabic and English: exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages. You will be communicating with Footballco staff outside the MENA region and English is used for cross-department collaboration, as well as liaising with English-speaking partners.

  • Minimum of 5 years in content creation, digital publishing, or a related field, with at least 3 years experience working on commercial projects.

  • Proven ability to develop branded and sponsored content, particularly video, for digital platforms. Your work experience does not need to be in football, but knowledge of the game and the way fans in MENA engage with football content on digital platforms is essential.

  • Strong understanding of digital publishing, with a focus on social media dynamics and strategies. Footballco’s brands publish content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, X/Twitter and TikTok, in addition to GOAL and KOOORA’s websites and apps.

  • Can create strong presentations from client briefs. Top candidates will be asked to create a very short and concise presentation based on a fictitious brief to test this skill.

  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail and quality. Our clients in MENA are primarily in Saudi and UAE.
