Footballco Produces Launch Film for Bristol City Women’s New Season Kits Inspired by the City
Football media and culture company Footballco have produced the launch film for the Women’s Super League 2 (WSL 2) club Bristol City Women’s home, away and third kits for the 2026/27 season, celebrating how the city and the club do things their own way.
Released today, ‘The Bristol City Women’s Way’ follows the announcement in May this year that Footballco had partnered with Mercury 13, the multi-club ownership group dedicated to the advancement of women's football, which acquired a majority stake in Bristol City Women last year.
With the club forging their own path since coming under the ownership of Mercury 13, the club have strived to do things its own way. This desire is evident throughout the ‘The Bristol City Women’s Way’ which opens with shots of changing rooms and rooftops before the voiceover is interrupted by local Bristol creator and equity advocate Stacey Olika.
Olika proceeds to reassure fans that things are being done differently, before taking them into Bristol, giving an insider’s point of view and celebrating what’s unique about the kit, club and city.
As well as featuring locals from Bristol and fans of the club, the film stars numerous Bristol City Women’s players including Sophie Ingle, Fran Bentley, Emily Syme, Olivia Wos, Ella Powell, and Alexia Apostalakis.
Ben Honeyman, Head of Global Football Partnerships for Footballco, said: “As we look forward to another season of domestic women’s football, it’s great to be working with Bristol City Women and Mercury 13 to promote the launch of the team’s new kits.
“Across Footballco and through our brands, like INDIVISA, we’re dedicated to covering and growing women’s football up and down the pyramid. And, like Bristol City Women, doing this in our own unique way.”
Jack Royle, Commercial Director at Bristol City Women, said: “As a standalone club with a dedicated team, we have a real opportunity to do things differently and build something distinctive at Bristol City Women.
“The Bristol City Women’s Way” starts to bring that to life. It celebrates the city we’re proud to represent, while reflecting our ambition to create a club that connects with fans across the region. It’s been great working with Footballco and our Mercury13 team to create something that feels authentic to the club and where we’re heading.”
As well as being shared across Bristol City Women’s club channels, ‘The Bristol City Women’s Way’ will be shared across the social channels for Footballco’s women’s football media brand, INDIVISA.
