Footballco in the News: November and December
We rounded off 2026 coverage, with Footballco leadership appearing across trade titles, discussing everything from football shirts’ place in culture and marketing to our plans for next year’s World Cup.
Press Gazette’s Charlotte Tobitt spoke to our CEO, Juan Delgado, on plans to drive revenue through 2026, with a focus on affiliate revenue and YouTube first brands.
Also in November, MUNDIAL’s James Bird wrote for The Drum on what brands need to know if they're planning to create their own-brand football shirts and why shirts have a special place within football culture.
In December, our US CEO, Jason Wagehiem, was a guest on the Rebooting Show. Jason discussed the changes he’s seen throughout his career and the challenges publishers face in a post-pageview world, as well as how Footballco is rising to those challenges through creator-led video and the opportunities of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
December also saw us welcome Bafta winner, Grant Best, to the Footballco team. Grant will be focused on leading our longform video output and talent-led shows across our brands - something picked up by multiple outlets, including industry bible C21 Media.
