JOB PURPOSE (SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?)

As a Sales Manager – in Footballco’s UK team, with the support of the wider commercial function, you will sell digital opportunities across our premium sports portfolio, including video pre-roll, display/app placements and branded content.

You will be expected to have a strong knowledge of relevant brands’ strategies and will need to think creatively to utilise Footballco’s range of products and collaborate with the teams around you to generate proactive solutions across media agencies and clients direct.


KEY DELIVERABLES (WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?)
  • Deliver revenue through six figure media partnerships across media agencies and brands with IP in football or aiming to reach a football audience with credibility.

  • Promote Footballco’s digital media proposition to senior relevant brand contacts with regular calls, meetings and proactive proposals.

  • Responsibility for maintaining strong senior agency relationships.

  • A strategic approach to your patch.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?)
  • An enthusiasm for digital advertising and a strong understanding of key market trends.

  • Proven media sales experience.

  • Great interpersonal skills and able to deliver ideas effectively.

  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple clients, campaigns, proposals and projects at once.

  • Ability to empathise with a clients’ needs and connect these with the solutions we can provide.

  • A strong understanding of the media agency landscape and contacts book.

  • Self starter mentality to uncover new opportunities within your agency patch.

  • A relentless desire to win business and ensure your accounts are covered from every angle.


DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Sociable character and strong communicator with ability to mix and build relationships with agency contacts at all levels.

  • Existing senior contacts at UK and International media agencies in Europe.

  • An attention to detail to ensure work of the highest quality.

  • Experience working with ad tech platforms, such as Google Ad Manager, Google AdExchange, MOAT etc.

  • Proficiency in Google suite programmes including Slides and Sheets.

  • A passion for and understanding of the global sports landscape.

  • A working knowledge of Footballco and our portfolio including Goal, Soccerway and FC Player.
