ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Product Manager, you will develop Footballco’s betting product strategy, responsible for our betting roadmap, you will grow a global audience of bettors, launching new features and products across web and app for GOAL.com.
You will own the product backlog, prioritising the development of opportunities that our internal team and development partner are working on, ensuring they deliver value for bettors across our GOAL products.
You will launch new betting products across our key target markets, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive betting affiliate revenue, helping Footballco diversify our revenue streams. You will work closely with our partners and insights teams to develop a deep understanding of the needs of betting users across the globe, and understanding market by market compliance to ensure that Footballco delivers trusted, and compliant betting experiences that delight our users.
What You'll do:
Translate product strategy into a product roadmap, working with our internal development team, and betting partners to create impactful and effective betting experiences that increase affiliate interactions and revenue across GOAL
Work closely with the product team and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the product is continually improved to deliver better outcomes for bettors
Ensure communication around priorities, developments and changes are clearly understood by stakeholders across the business, and with our partners
Plan product development out into future by e.g maintaining a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
Take ownership for creating user stories, and ensure there are sufficient number of user stories that have been refined and estimated by the team for upcoming sprints
Involvement in sprint planning meetings to help provide clarity and elaborate user stories to help the team better understand the requirements
Lead product discovery with the team, and wider stakeholders to develop, experiment and test new ideas that help improve betting experiences across GOAL
Successfully identifies risks and mitigations that remove risk and uncertainty early in product development
Act as a subject matter expert for the product team, and our stakeholders providing insight, context and additional information as needed to help understanding of what is required
WHAT YOU HAVE:
Great knowledge of the betting landscape, you’ve launched and managed betting products in the UK, and have some understanding of betting opportunities globally
Experience of working with in-house development teams and development partners
Technically curious, with a good understanding of software development practices and web/mobile technologies
Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and team members through good communication and influencing skills and acting as an advocate of the Product Management team
Ensure effective leadership of the product team; maintaining a continuous learning environment, setting clear objectives to ensure there is clarity on what needs to be achieved for any given work
Able to make and take ownership for decisions at a fast pace
