MUNDIAL reminds you why you love football. A quarterly magazine, best in class social publisher, merchandise specialist and multi-award winning audio producer, MUNDIAL has recently launched CLUB MUNDIAL, a community based subscription plan that will feature all of the above and more.
What’s the role about?
FootballCo is looking to hire an entrepreneurial Head of Marketing to help take MUNDIAL to the next level in 2023 and beyond. The magazine has recently launched Club Mundial, a subscription service, and the goal is to drive awareness and conversion of our football lifestyle audience across all platforms and mediums.
To do that, we need you. You’ll take ownership of marketing strategy across organic and paid acquisitions to deliver on subscriber and revenue targets. You will collaborate with the Mundial editorial, creative, design and social media teams, working hand in hand to optimise product and go-to-market strategies.

Define strategy for scaling Footballco’s subscription D2C product, Club Mundial
Own formation of our marketing playbook across the customer funnel, optimising for awareness, conversion and retention
Translate product proposition into engaging marketing strategies; Implement sales and marketing best practices for asset creation
Implement landing page, web and social optimisations to target different customer segments, ensure experience targeted to new and returning customers, and drive conversion
Define and operationalize customer, channel and cohort analytics for the company, leveraging data to surface insights and inform decisions on marketing and product
Structure cross-channel marketing strategies to deliver on subs and revenue objectives, inc. email, social, search; manage plans and budgets
Own marketing activities operationally; collaborate with relevant teams to drive execution
Manage sales and marketing calendar and budgets
Initiate and scope experimentation programs to surface new GTM strategies and channels
Ideate new partnerships with a focus on growing the customer base
Undertake market research to identify opportunities; define primary user research roadmap
Identify bottlenecks in the workflows and collaborate with teams to streamline
Relentlessly work towards maximum customer acquisition, conversion, and retention
7+ years of consumer marketing and growth strategy experience
Experience in scaling subscribers and customers in D2C content, consumer product or ecommerce
Proven ability to manage organic and paid marketing channels, creatively driving brand awareness and discoverability
Deep familiarity with establishing and using core metrics such as CPA, churn and LTV
Ability to manage quantitatively, with proficiency in performance marketing, data and attribution tools, cohort analysis and tracking, funnel analytics, and performance monitoring
Experience influencing product & pricing strategy and shaping consumer facing propositions
Creative problem solver - you love working with a team to creatively solve challenges
