What’s the role about?

Footballco is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to assist the Group Financial Controller maintain compliance with statutory accounts across Footballco’s international entities. This position is based in our London office. We offer competitive compensation and a bonus scheme. You will report into the Group Financial Controller of Footballco, who sits in the London office, and work with the accounting and finance teams in London and Poland.

What You'll be doing?
  •  Lead the external Group audit, managing the relationship with the auditors and the end to end process

  • Responsible for the preparation a consolidated set of group financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including supporting schedules and relevant disclosures

  • Assist the Group FC in technical accounting matters, including acquisition accounting for various M&A transactions

  • Identify, prepare and/or review top-side adjustments to the financial statements for completeness and accuracy, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, and application of transfer pricing policies and intercompany agreements

  • Manage the preparation of local entity audits and statutory reporting, including ensuring local GAAP adjustments are made appropriately

  • Cooperate with the Group Tax Manager for CIT requirements for relevant entities

  • Review monthly actuals prepared by a shared service team in Poland for completeness and accuracy and appropriate application of IFRS standards

  • Prepare occasional technical accounting memos and analyses with the assistance of the Group FC

  • Assist the shared service team in Poland with liaising with external audit requests

  • Travel to Poland to work with the shared services team

  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure IAS compliance

What you have?
  • Preparing and reviewing IFRS financial statements and related disclosure requirements

  • Consolidation and intercompany accounting

  • Maintaining compliance with statutory accounting requirements across multiple international legal entities

  • An experienced people manager

  • Excellent stakeholder management experience

  • Accounting certification required (ACCA/ACA)

  • Big 4 experience (preferred but not required)

  • NetSuite experience (preferred but not required)

  • Experience in media (preferred but not required)
