Are you into football and its surrounding culture and quite like hand drawing typefaces and commissioning illustrators? Are you a design obsessive who wants to work on shaping the next phase of a product that people truly love? Keep reading. 


FootballCo is looking to hire an outstanding graphic designer to help take MUNDIAL to the next level in 2023 and beyond. The magazine has recently launched Club Mundial, a subscription service, and the goal is to reach more fans through aesthetic excellence across all platforms and mediums. 

To do that, we need you. You’ll support the existing design team across the board but also be expected to help shape the growth of the brand and take ownership of exciting new visual routes. 

In print, on social, and in merchandise, MUNDIAL is defined by its visual style, and the role is as much about the minute to minute and day to day output as it is the quarterly print magazine.

At FootballCo we are building a modern media company that entertains & informs users with credible and original news, reporting, and content from our portfolio of consumer-facing football publishers. A company that services the fan’s desire for knowledge, a global publisher that can ensure the best content travels to fans everywhere.

This position is based in our London offices. We offer competitive compensation and a bonus scheme. We have a hybrid working model enabling you to flexibly manage your time working from our offices or from home.

You Will 
  • Help conceive and execute ambitious content campaigns

  • Come up with shareable social content that cuts through a crowded marketplace and makes the ECD feel old

  • Have an in-depth understanding of all social media platforms, from Facebook to Tik-Tok and how to create content that gets shared 

  • Collaborate with writers, directors, editors, designers and more

  • Think outside of the box and be proactive

  • Be passionate about your ideas and confidently communicate your creative vision to the wider team

  • You will be expected to divide and conquer on various projects

  • Work closely with the production and delivery teams on a daily basis

  • Ensure ideas can happen relative to budgets, timing, and capabilities

  • Be willing to learn and adapt. Be hungry to develop and progress in your career

  • BA or BS in graphic design, motion graphics, digital designer, or related

  • A stand-out creative portfolio full of diverse thinking and eye-catching examples

  • A passion for big thinking and an eye for craft across a number of creative channels

  • An understanding of the beautiful game and all that it fuses - fashion, music, gaming, culture... 

  • An interest in and deep knowledge of the social platforms, including experience producing work for a variety of social networks 

  • A can-do attitude and the willingness to help shape the creative culture within the company Curiosity and willingness to play

  • A strong command of standard design applications (Adobe CS including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)

  • Strong organisational skills and an attention to detail to ensure our work communicates clearly and is on brand at all times
