What’s the role about?

Reporting into the Head of Global Betting Partnerships, this role has recently been created at Footballco to help keep pace with this rapidly growing and exciting sector. You will work with the Head of Global Betting Partnerships to drive the acquisition of global betting partners to deliver material and sustained commercial growth for Footballco. Within the role, you will deal with tier 1, 2 and 3 operators across various geographical jurisdictions in order to build long term relationships with key decision makers to unlock significant revenue opportunities.

The successful candidate will ensure best business practices are put in place to manage revenue growth and top-class service levels as well as be an ambassador for Footballco within the brand ecosystem. We want you to go to the next level for both revenue, client management and commercial creative output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Head of Global Betting Partnerships to deliver the Footballco global sales betting target.

  • Be responsible for developing new business and increasing revenue streams whilst proactively retaining and developing an existing portfolio of clients.

  • Be a key driver inputting into our Global Betting Partnerships strategy, the markets and brands we target.

  • Develop a network of established and less established betting operators to build direct relationships with key commercial decision makers to deliver multi-market media deals.

  • Lead and negotiate media agreements for Footballco using best-in-class market practices and consistency across our partnership portfolio.

  • Work in collaboration with our Activation team to ensure excellent customer service to partners; monitor performance, optimise campaigns through planning and channel selection, anticipate opportunities, and champion the partner brands within Footballco

  • Deliver innovative thinking to explore ways to create new revenue streams at every possible opportunity.

  • Have a strong grasp of the media and the gambling industry to predict future trends to ensure we are ahead of the competition.

The Successful Candidate will:
  • Have a proven track record of selling in the football media space and overachieving revenue targets.

  • Be experienced of working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide deep-level campaign analysis and create proposals to assist in maximising partnership value.

  • Have strong negotiation skills to seek out new business development opportunities and be adept at using data to justify commercial decisions with new and existing partnerships

  • Present KPI reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Knowledge of the sports and tech industries as well as exposure to affiliate marketing.

  • Experience working in matrixed / multinational organizations
