What’s the role about?

As Design Studio Manager at Footballco, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our design studio. You will report in to the VP Design & UX, and will work closely with our client services, marketing, editorial, product and creative teams, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a combination of strong project management, communication and balancing multiple projects simultaneously.

What You'll be doing?

Studio Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the design studio, ensuring a well-organised and efficient workspace across multiple design disciplines.

  • Implement and improve studio processes and workflows.

Project Management:

  • Manage and prioritise design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget (where applicable).

  • Collaborate with internal teams including client services, the creative team and editorial to define project goals, scope, and objectives.

  • Hold weekly planning sessions with relevant teams to ensure as much visibility of projects as possible.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure successful project delivery, working closely with the designers to ensure deadlines are being met.

  • Support Product Design Director in weekly sprint planning and time estimation sessions.

Resource Management:

  • Maintain an organised and efficient workflow to maximise team productivity.

  • Forecast staffing and resource needs to meet project demands.

Budget Management:

  • Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring profitability where applicable.

  • Work with the finance department to monitor financial performance.

Stakeholder Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and planning.

  • Collaborate with client services to address client needs and concerns.

What you have?
  • Proven experience in design project management and team leadership.

    Understanding of design principles, trends, and creative processes.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Budget management and financial acumen.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
