What’s the role about?
As Design Studio Manager at Footballco, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our design studio. You will report in to the VP Design & UX, and will work closely with our client services, marketing, editorial, product and creative teams, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a combination of strong project management, communication and balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
What You'll be doing?
Studio Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the design studio, ensuring a well-organised and efficient workspace across multiple design disciplines.
Implement and improve studio processes and workflows.
Project Management:
Manage and prioritise design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget (where applicable).
Collaborate with internal teams including client services, the creative team and editorial to define project goals, scope, and objectives.
Hold weekly planning sessions with relevant teams to ensure as much visibility of projects as possible.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure successful project delivery, working closely with the designers to ensure deadlines are being met.
Support Product Design Director in weekly sprint planning and time estimation sessions.
Resource Management:
Maintain an organised and efficient workflow to maximise team productivity.
Forecast staffing and resource needs to meet project demands.
Budget Management:
Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring profitability where applicable.
Work with the finance department to monitor financial performance.
Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and planning.
Collaborate with client services to address client needs and concerns.
What you have?
Proven experience in design project management and team leadership.
Understanding of design principles, trends, and creative processes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Budget management and financial acumen.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
