Are you a bit of an editorial polymath, happy writing short and long form, brimming with ideas for audio and video, and willing to strap in on social media? Do you want to work for a multi-award winning publisher and remind people every day why they love football? Of course you do.
What’s the role about?
Footballco is looking to hire an outstanding editorial obsessive to help take MUNDIAL to the next level in 2023 and beyond. The magazine has recently launched Club Mundial, a subscription service, and the goal is to reach more fans through editorial excellence across all platforms and mediums.
To do that, we need you. You will support the existing editorial team across the board but also be expected to help shape future output and take ownership of new content strands and ideas.
In print, audio, and social MUNDIAL has been awarded best in class in the UK and US, and the role is as much about the minute to minute and day to day output as it is the quarterly print magazine.

This position is based in our London offices. We offer competitive compensation and a bonus scheme. We have a hybrid working model enabling you to flexibly manage your time working from our offices or from home.
What you'll do:
Grow MUNDIAL’s audience by creating best-in-class social and newsletter content
Pitch, commission and write long-form magazine features
Pitch and develop ideas for audio and video
Manage day-to-day output to drive awareness
Create content to assist marketing teams
Support digital growth
Manage freelancers, budgets and workflows
WHAT YOU HAVE
First, and foremost, you must be able to really write.
A knowledge and understanding of football at all levels - MUNDIAL treats the game democratically
An understanding of what matters to fans and how they want to consume it, including how football intersects with culture, fashion, music, and more.
Strong executional skills
A digital native, comfortable in using a variety of software and platforms
An eye for an image
Organisation and an eye for detail, with the drive to ensure constant improvement.
A desire to pitch in outside your comfort zone
